1 – WTC towers were NEVER sold!! NEVER!!
The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, who built the first tower back in 1971, still OWNS the site and the property TO THIS DAY!! The property has been given for lease due to the below mentioned reasons.
**During the 1990s, New York was suffering from the effects of the 1987 stock market crash(Black Monday 1987), which led to high vacancy rates at the World Trade Center. George Pataki became Governor of New York in 1995 on a campaign of cutting costs, including privatizing the World Trade Center. A sale of the property was considered too complex, so it was decided by the Port Authority to open a 99-year lease to COMPETITIVE bidding.

**Silverstein was born in Brooklyn(New York), and became involved in real estate, together with his father, establishing Silverstein Properties. Silverstein separated from his business partner, Bernard Mendik, in 1977, and bought a number of large office buildings in Midtown and Lower Manhattan in the late 1970s. Silverstein won a bid, **IN 1980**, from the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey to construct 7 World Trade Center, to the north of the World Trade Center site. Silverstein was interested in acquiring the entire World Trade Center complex, and put in a bid when the Port Authority put it up for lease in 2000.[IT WAS NOT AS IF THIS MAN, LARRY SILVERSTEIN, CAME TO NEW YORK AND SAW THE WTC TOWERS FOR THE FIRST TIME 2000/2001 FOR BIDDING…HE WAS FROM NEW YORK AND WAS IN REAL ESTATE FOR DECADES!!]
Then In January 2001, Silverstein, via Silverstein Properties and Westfield America, made a $3.2 billion bid for the lease to the World Trade Center. Silverstein was outbid by $30 million by Vornado Realty, with Boston Properties and Brookfield Properties also competing for the lease. However, Vornado withdrew and Silverstein’s bid for the lease to the World Trade Center was accepted on July 24, 2001. This was the first time in the building’s 31-year history that the complex had changed management.[CHANGE OF MANAGEMENT, NOT PROPERTY RIGHTS]
**HE ALWAYS OWNED THE BUILDING 7(since his company built it), BUT TOOK TOWERS 1, 2 , 4 AND 5 LATER, ONLY ON LEASE!!
**2 – There was no specific “terrorist clause” in the insurance policies( which “FORTUITOUSLY covered the attack” and GAVE HIM BILLIONS OF DOLLARS FROM INSURANCE COMPANIES), BUT the terms include that the damages are COVERED IN CASE OF THE DESTRUCTION OF THE PROPERTY!! HOWEVER ACCORDING TO THE commercial building insurance, the terms of the policy requires that he use the money for the REBUILDING PURPOSES. MOVER OVER, he has to PAY RENT on buildings that no longer exist in order to retain his building rights.(WHICH, BY THE WAY, is $102 MILLION ANNUALLY in BASE RENT!!)
***SO CAN YOU HELP ME CALCULATE THE RENT HE PAYS FOR THE TIME HE SPENDS BUILDING THEM BACK?!! WHILE HE DOESN’T GET ANY DIRECT INCOME FROM THE BUILDINGS THAT NO LONGER EXIST!!!(it has been more than a decade and only construction of 1 building is complete so far!! DO THE MATH)

**The TERMS of the lease gave Silverstein, as leaseholder, the right and the OBLIGATION to rebuild the structures if destroyed.
SO WITH THE MONEY, which you believe that he is enjoying now, he MUST[OUGHT TO] build the those structures back, which is being carried out now!!
3 – “Controlled Demolition” conspiracy: The NIST(National Institute of Standards and Technology) report found no evidence supporting conspiracy theories that 7 World Trade Center was brought down by controlled demolition. Specifically, the window breakage pattern and blast sounds that would have resulted from the use of explosives were not observed. The suggestion that an incendiary material such as thermite was used instead of explosives was considered unlikely by NIST because of observations of the fire and the building’s structural response to the fire, and because it is unlikely the necessary quantity of material could have been planted without discovery.[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/7_World_Trade_Center#9.2F11_and_collapse]
The falling debris from the twin towers, combined with fires that the debris initiated in several surrounding buildings(Not just the buildings Larry Silverstein owns and has on lease), led to the partial or complete collapse of all the other buildings in the complex and caused catastrophic damage to ten other large structures in the surrounding area.
**ABOVE ALL, The insurance companies never had issues with covering the damages from the attack, (WHY DID THEY NOT FIGHT SAYING IT IS A CONTROLLED DEMOLITION, AND A CONSPIRACY FOR MONEY) but the parties had a dispute ONLY over the definition of “occurrence”, as 2 different strikes were carried out with 2 different planes[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Larry_Silverstein#Insurance_dispute]!! Whether the settlement would be for $3.6 Billion or $7.1 Billions, as both parties interpreted the definition in their own ways…and the COURT(law) settled it for $4.55 Billions!!
Do you really wanna say, the INSURANCE COMPANIES, AFTER THROUGH VERIFICATION AND INVESTIGATION(paying BILLIONS) would not have fought back and refused to pay insurance if it was a planned and CONTROLLED DEMOLITION?!!!
4 – AND finally what businessman with sane mind would not have an insurance which would cover such an attack, WHILE DEALING WITH A BUILDING THAT HAS BEEN A TERRORIST TARGET FOR ALMOST A DECADE!!!

**Ramzi Yousef(nephew of senior Al-Qaeda member Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, later involved in the 2001 attacks) plotted to bring down WTC towers back in 1993 itself[1993 World Trade Center bombing]!! Hoping to kill at least 250,000 people, as a retaliation for USA’s support to Israel…
And they succeeded in 2001 finally!! Al-Qaeda itself claims responsibility for the attacks!!(OR WOULD YOU LIKE TO SAY “Osama and Al-Qaeda” never existed, just a made up fiction like MIB or X-Men??)
**Al-Qaeda’s spokesman, Sulaiman Abu Ghaith, said in a video sent to al Jazeera and broadcast in October 2001 the following: “The Americans should know that the storm of plane attacks will not abate, with God’s permission. There are thousands of the Islamic nations’ youths who are eager to die just as the Americans are eager to live.”
**SO, THE FIRST ATTACK ON WTC WAS CARRIED OUT BY TERRORISTS(the same organization Al-Qaeda) LONG BEFORE LARRY SILVERSTEIN WAS EVER INVOLVED WITH THE OTHER BUILDING(his company built and owned Building 7).
If conspiracy still want to say, Larry Silverstein was involved in attacks back in 1993 too for insurance benefits, why would the Al-Qaeda attack the building which Silverstein had no connection with, at the time when he had no rights or lease on those building, in 1993?!
Conclusion: After careful scrutiny of this conspiracy theory and information support either sides, one doesn’t need to be a genius to see this is merely a case of exaggerated urban legend/internet hoax, with mixed half-truths, made by a (no disrespect intended) poorly informed conspiracy theorist or some paranoid truth-seeker or someone trying to defend/sympathizing the radical religious cult involved in the attack.
